THE ACTION

  • Weatherred nearly found the equalizer at 12:52, but her tap-in try on Quinn's backdoor pass was denied by Weiser's pad save.
  • Lavender's blocker save rejected sophomore Heather Ajakie's power-play bid from the left circle at 14:40, but the Greyhounds scored three goals in a late 1:46 stretch to pull away, with Kirkeby's shot from the right point at 16:22 beginning the flurry.
