SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. - Sophomore Jack Tuite's (Shrub Oak, N.Y./Springfield Jr. Pics) tying goal with 14 seconds left in regulation helped the Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey team salvage a 2-2 Northeast 10 Conference tie with Assumption University on Saturday at Cairns Arena. The Purple Knights recognized the 2024-25 NE10 Championship team by unveiling a commemorative banner during a pregame ceremony.

THE ACTION

• DiNapoli gave Assumption the lead just 5:27 after puck drop, stuffing home a third effort after Plunkett denied Surrette and senior Ryan Decker.
• Surrette made it 2-0 at 13:15 of the second period, taking a giveaway near his own blue line before skating in alone on Plunkett and roofing a backhander.
• Naumann put his team on the board 4:38 later, tipping in Winicki's pass while screening Salvatore.
• In the waning seconds of the third period and Plunkett pulled for an extra attacker, Forselius' pass from the right point was tipped in the slot by Winicki to Tuite, who got alone on Salvatore and lifted a tying tally over him from in close with 14 seconds left.
• Saint Michael's had a 4-2 lead in overtime shots, playing the final 1:53 with a power play, during which Salvatore made two saves and skaters blocked three more bids to ensure the tie.
