SHELTON, Conn. - Senior Quinn McCarthy's (Melrose, Mass./Holderness School) second goal with 1:11 remaining in regulation lifted the Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey team to a 2-2 draw against Post University during Northeast 10 Conference action on Friday at the Sports Center of Connecticut.
 
The Purple Knights tied in similar fashion in their last game, also a 2-2 deadlock six days ago against Assumption University that sophomore Jack Tuite (Shrub Oak, N.Y./Springfield Jr. Pics) secured by scoring the equalizer with 14 seconds left in regulation.

• McMains went 1-on-1 with the final Purple Knight defender before sending in a wrister from the right circle with 5:23 gone, and McGuigan moved around the final defender through the slot and finished high to Monahan's blocker at 12:19 to make it 2-0.
• McCarthy got Saint Michael's on the board 2:12 by flying through the slot to tip in Douglas' shot from the point.
• Five seconds after calling a timeout and pulling Manahan for an extra skater, the Purple Knights tied the game, with McCarthy tipping in Forselius' slap shot from the right point at 18:49.
• Post held a 6-3 lead in overtime shots, but Manahan denied them all, including snapping up first-year AJ Guzzardi's late bid with a glove save from in close at 2.9 seconds.
