THE ACTION
- Floyd's fastbreak lay-up from sophomore Abdur-Rahman De Leon's (Roxbury, Mass./Saint Thomas More School) steal and assist gave Saint Michael's a 22-17 lead at 9:53 of the first half, its largest of the stanza.
- Ristic capped a 10-2 run with a breakout bucket of his own at 3:07 to provide the Hawks a 32-27 lead, his team's biggest of the half, before the teams went into halftime tied at 36.
- Morissette's three-pointer made it 47-41 at 15:06 of the second period, but the Purple Knights countered to lead by four points on four occasions in the final 4:06 of regulation. Kenney's triple had his team up 69-65 with 1:18 to go.
- Davies netted a lay-up just 21 seconds later before Medalie blocked consecutive shots on the next Saint Michael's possession, and Onyia's lay-up at 15 seconds tied the game. The Purple Knights' go-ahead three-point attempt just before the buzzer was offline, and the teams went to overtime.
- Neither team led by more than three points in the first four and a half minutes of the extra session, while Dumont's lay-in at 2:04 had his team within 79-78.
- Davies responded with a floater 21 seconds later, and the Hawks forced three missed shots down the stretch while going 4-for-4 on free throws in the final 21 seconds.
