GAME FACTS
  • Each of Wracker's last four goals have come at Saint Anselm, accounting for more than half of his seven career tallies.
  • Saint Michael's is riding a seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-1) dating back to last season, its longest since a nine-game winning streak in January-February 1998. The Purple and Gold has won five straight against NE10 foes.
  • After being outscored 19-9 while being swept by the Hawks during the four-game 2024-25 regular-season series, Saint Michael's has held a 9-2 scoring lead while winning the past two meetings.
  • The Purple Knights held a 33-31 edge in faceoff wins, while the Hawks had a 48-17 lead in shots.
THE ACTION
  • Wracker put the Purple Knights ahead to stay 15:06 into the contest, firing a shot from the left circle that Hanson denied before pouncing on the rebound and tallying from out front. Naumann and senior Kyle Lee (Buffalo, N.Y./Finlandia University) were credited with assists.
  • Only 35 seconds later, Walsh doubled the lead, picking Hanson's blocker corner from out front after receiving junior Hans Forselius' (Guilford, Conn./Seahawks Hockey Club) pass from behind the net. Bloom also assisted.
  • Manning trimmed the deficit to 2-1 4:25 into the second period, touching home first-year Nolan King's pass from behind the net toward the left post.
  • Bloom one-timed a power-play blast from the slot at 12:32 off of sophomore Roman Winicki's (Setauket, N.Y./Philadelphia Hockey Club) pass from the right circle to reestablish the two-goal lead. First-year Evan Dresser (Everett, Mass./Belmont Hill School) lent the secondary helper.
  • Tuite padded the lead 34 seconds into the third stanza, streaking into the Hawk zone and taking senior Quinn McCarthy's (Melrose, Mass./Holderness School) pass from the blue line before finishing to Hanson's blocker side after getting behind the Saint Anselm defense. Sophomore Cole Douglas (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side Academy) started the breakout with a stretch pass to McCarthy in the neutral zone.
