Naumann's Three Points Leads Men's Ice Hockey to 6-2 Win at Saint Anselm

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Junior Brayden Naumann (Boston, Mass./Dexter Southfield School) notched three points to help the Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey team finish off a weekend sweep of Northeast 10 Conference foe Saint Anselm College with a 6-2 win on Saturday in Sullivan Arena.

GAME FACTS
  • Saint Michael's is riding an eight-game unbeaten streak (7-0-1) dating back to last season, its longest since a nine-game winning streak in January-February 1998. The Purple and Gold has won six straight against NE10 foes.
  • After being outscored 19-9 while being swept by the Hawks during the four-game 2024-25 regular-season series, Saint Michael's has held a 15-4 scoring lead while winning the past three meetings.

THE ACTION
  • LeComte scored the lone goal of the first period, roofing a rebound from near the left post with Carroll down at the 14:08 mark. Naumann and junior Danny Keegan (Braintree, Mass./Williston Northampton School) assisted.
  • In 4-on-4 play, Last knocked in a rebound from out front 1:15 into the second period. Naumann and Douglas provided the assists.
  • McCarthy picked Carroll's blocker corner from the left circle with 8:01 gone, and Naumann made it 4-0 by snaring an errant Hawk pass into the Saint Anselm slot and finishing alone on the netminder. Nichols set up McCarthy's tally.
  • Sacco extended the lead with 57 seconds left by firing in a wrist shot from the right circle. Sophomores Ian Wolanin (Pomfret, Conn./HC Rhode Island) and Jack Tuite (Shrub Oak, N.Y./Springfield Jr. Pics) lent assists.
  • Collins got Saint Anselm on the board 3:27 into the third period, slipping a shot over Plunkett's blocker, and Tremblay went above the goalie's left shoulder from out front at 11:05.
  • Forselius padded the lead with 15 seconds remaining in regulation, whipping a shot from the blue line during a power play. Nichols and Douglas assisted.
