THE ACTION
  • McGillis fired a shot on net from the left point 35 seconds into the opening period before the Big Green broke through at the other end with 5:16 gone. After McGillis blocked sophomore Hailey Maguire's shot toward the end boards, Maguire pushed the rebound back out front for an unmarked Inglis.
  • Lavender finished the opening stanza with 30 saves, including a three-save sequence around the midway point that featured a stick save of senior Cally Dixon on an otherwise open net.
  • The Big Green pulled away with seven goals in the middle frame. Maguire tallied from the right circle with 1:41 gone before Inglis scored again to finish a 2-on-1 at 5:45. Sophomore Bridget Pringle tipped a shot in from low in the right circle 1:10 after that.
  • The Purple Knights provided sustained pressure two minutes into the third period, as Chedel bookended a three-shot sequence with a wide bid and another that was blocked, while FitzGibbon was denied in between by Rogers.
  • Dartmouth netted a pair of goals in the final 7:47, including potting a power-play strike.
