PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team defeated Holy Family University, 72-54, in their first meeting on Saturday at the Holy Family Campus Center.

THE ACTION
  • Littleton buried a three-pointer 51 seconds into the game to give the Purple Knights the lead for good, with the advantage swelling to 14-2 by 15:19 of the first half on Littleton's four-point play. At that point, Littleton had nine points and dished off on a Floyd three-pointer.
  • Saint Michael's led by as much as 39-17 in the first stanza on Kenney's triple with 1:52 to go before taking a 17-point lead into halftime.
  • Littleton's trey at 17:35 of the second half made it 44-22 before sophomore CJ Mundell's lay-in cut the deficit to 54-46 with 7:53 left.
  • Littleton responded with a jumper at 6:33 (56-46), and the visitors never again led by fewer than nine points.
