BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team capped a weekend road trip with a 78-73 win at D'Youville University on Sunday in the Saints Center.

GAME FACTS
  • The teams met for the second time, with the Purple Knights winning, 100-87, at home on Nov. 25, 2002.
THE ACTION
  • Briscoe (7) and Floyd (5) did most of their team's scoring as the Purple Knights forged a 14-4 lead by 15:04 of the first half, and the visitors led 32-15 on Kelley's lay-up at the five-minute mark.
  • Saint Michael's took a 40-29 lead into halftime before pushing its advantage to 45-29 on Marold's lay-up 57 seconds into the second stanza.
  • The Purple Knights were ahead 70-57 following Dumont's jumper at 6:21 before holding off a late push by the Saints, who used a 10-2 run to rally within 72-67 on Reynolds' triple with 34 seconds left.
  • Dumont's pair of free throws pushed the lead back to five with 27 seconds to go before Matsell countered by making two of three freebies seven ticks later.
  • After a turnover, Andrice knocked down a jumper to create a 74-71 margin, and senior Zocko Littleton's (Albany, Ga./Osborne/Rider) pair from the charity stripe were met by Milivojevic's dunk at four seconds.
  • However, Kenney's two free throws on the next possession all but sealed the victory.
