GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team was outlasted by No. 17 Adelphi University, 107-92, on Saturday during Northeast-10 Conference action at the Center for Recreation and Sport. The Panthers were 17th in this week's D2 CSC national poll and 18th in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) rankings.

THE ACTION
- Walton's fastbreak lay-up at 11:44 of the first half gave Adelphi a 21-14 edge, the largest lead for either team until Fulgencio knocked down a three-pointer to make it 38-28 with 4:12 to go.
- Eight Henaghen points helped halve the deficit to 44-39 by 1:13 before the Panthers carried a 51-41 lead into the locker room.
- Fulgencio buried a three to push his team's advantage to 67-48 at 15:34 of the second period, but Saint Michael's later used a 15-2 run to climb within 74-69 by 8:51. Henaghen buried back-to-back triples in the middle of the stretch.
- The Purple Knights were still within 83-76 after Crews made two free throws at 6:07, but consecutive Adelphi hoops extended the lead to double figures, and the hosts never again led by fewer than eight points.
