COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's basketball redshirt first-year Greg Kenney (Williston Park, N.Y./The Frederick Gunn School/LIU) was named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Feb. 23.
 
Kenney, who did not make any appearances at Division I Long Island University last year before transferring to Saint Michael's, averaged 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds during a 1-1 week. In a loss to regionally-ranked Bentley University on Wednesday, he recorded nine points and four rebounds before totaling 11 points and seven boards in a 74-73 overtime win against the University of New Haven on Saturday. Kenney averages 7.1 points and 4.0 rebounds through 28 games while shooting 85.5% on free throws, knocking down 23 three-pointers and blocking 12 shots.
 
With their regular season complete, the Purple Knights head into the first round of the NE10 Championship with a road contest on Friday evening. The league will reveal postseason details early this week.
