WORCESTER, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team lost a Northeast-10 Conference decision to Assumption University, 91-72, on Wednesday evening in Laska Gymnasium. The Greyhounds received votes toward both the D2 CSC and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) national polls this week.

THE ACTION
- Cunningham-Pemberton scored the first six points as Assumption led 8-0 by 17:20 of the first half, and Stewart's three-pointer made it 16-5 at 14:48.
- Crews converted a four-point play to trim the deficit to 20-16 with 11:29 to play, and Duniver's triple made it 28-26 at 7:27.
- Stewart's lay-in 3:03 later extended the lead back to 10 (36-26), and the hosts were up 44-33 at halftime.
- McCown's hoop five minutes into the second half gave Assumption the first of two 16-point leads before Kenney's three-point play at 11:24 brought his team within 62-53.
- Duniver made two free throws to produce a 69-58 margin at 8:29, but the Greyhounds pulled away with 21 of the next 23 points by the time 1:55 remained.
