MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey team lost to Northeast-10 Conference leader Saint Anselm College, 4-2, on Friday evening in Sullivan Arena.

GAME FACTS
  • With three regular-season games remaining, Saint Anselm clinched the NE10 regular-season championship and the No. 1 seed in the postseason. The Purple Knights slipped into third place, one point behind second-place Southern New Hampshire University; the top two seeds receive first-round byes into home semifinals.
THE ACTION
  • Wracker scored the only goal of the opening period with just 2:45 gone, pushing home the rebound after first-year Cole Douglas (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side Academy) had an initial shot saved.
  • Kantgias made it 2-0 at 2:39 of the second frame, picking the corner from the right circle.
  • Saint Anselm scored the final three goals of the period, first when Manning snuck a shot inside the right post following a scramble out front at 6:16.
  • Colarusso finished a 2-on-1 breakout with a shorthanded tally at 13:14 to Plunkett's glove side from in close.
  • Duffy put his team in front at 16:03 by firing a shot from the right point through a handful of bodies directly off of a faceoff win.
  • Brackett padded the lead at 11:03 of the third period, roofing a rebound glove side during 4-on-4 play.
