Baseball Loses Opener of Two-Game Series at No. 21 Rollins

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team lost the opener of a two-game set at No. 21 Rollins College, 13-6, on Monday in Alfond Stadium. The Tars' national ranking is according to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA).

THE ACTION
  • Sophomore Richard Gilboy's (South Portland, Maine/South Portland) RBI single keyed a two-run first inning, and Cavossa's two-run single pushed the lead to 5-1 in the fourth. Arsenault also knocked an RBI double and scored in the frame.
  • Furry hit an RBI single in a three-run fourth, and Thies scored the game-tying run on a fifth-inning balk.
  • Wilson delivered a tie-breaking grand slam as part of an eight-run sixth stanza that put the game out of reach.
