HOOKSETT, N.H. - The nationally-ranked Saint Michael's College men's lacrosse team lost to Southern New Hampshire University, 9-8, during a Northeast-10 Conference contest on Saturday at Ouellette Stadium. The Purple Knights were 18th in the Inside Lacrosse national rankings and received votes toward the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll.

THE ACTION
- Simonson struck for the game's opening goal at 12:34 of the first quarter before Rice (5:55), Simonson (4:50) and Murphy (3:36) all struck in a 2:19 span to make it 4-0.
- Brown scored twice in a 3-0 Penmen run before Simonson completed his hat trick off of a Murphy assist with 34 seconds remaining in the opening halftime, providing his team a 5-3 edge.
- Each of the Penmen's first three second-half goals was matched by a Purple Knight tally, and Reyes' goal at 13:53 of the fourth quarter still had his team up 8-6.
- Dwyer scored at 11:55 before assisting Brown's tying strike 1:59 later.
- Both goalies made three saves in the next seven-plus minutes to keep the teams level, but Blouin buried the eventual winner with 2:22 to go.
- Wilson won the ensuing draw before Roy turned in an interception and one additional stops, and one final Saint Michael's turnover in the midfield led to the Penmen running out the final 59 seconds.
