Men's Lacrosse Defeated in NE10 Play by No. 8 Pace

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College men's lacrosse team lost to No. 8 Pace University, 18-6, on Saturday during Northeast-10 Conference action in Northwell Stadium. The Purple Knights were 18th in the Inside Lacrosse national rankings and received votes toward the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll, while Pace was eighth in the former and ninth in the latter.

THE ACTION
  • Simonson fed Reyes for a man-up goal at 9:27 of the first quarter, but that was the Purple Knights' lone goal in the opening quarter-plus, as they trailed 6-1 on Danowski's strike at 11:44 of the second period.
  • Drake tallied 43 seconds later, and Wilson won a faceoff en route to passing to Reyes for a goal at 6:22, bringing the visitors within 7-3.
  • Pace pulled away with nine of the next 10 goals, as three apiece came from Baldino and Landers.
