WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team lost both ends of a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader to regionally-ranked University of New Haven, 10-6 and 3-0 in seven innings, on Sunday at Frank Vieira Field. The Chargers were fourth in this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region poll.

THE ACTION
- Cavossa had a first-inning RBI single before sophomore Colin Kinsella (Winthrop, Mass./Winthrop) knocked an RBI double and Pattison a run-scoring single to make it 3-0 in the second.
- McIntire's two-run double keyed a four-run second that put New Haven on top.
- Kolifrath scored the tying run in the third before hitting a go-ahead sac fly in the fourth.
- Frazzetta's two-out RBI single tied the game in the fourth, but Cavossa's two-out RBI double reestablished the Purple Knights' lead in the sixth, making it 6-5.
- McIntire belted a one-out solo homer in the home half before Frazzetta's two-out RBI double put the Chargers up for good.
- The hosts added three unearned runs in the seventh, with three Chargers driving in runs.

- Moynihan led off the seventh with a single before junior Seth Larson (Leicester, Mass./Leicester) walked, and both advanced 90 feet on a wild pitch. However, Gatti fanned the next two batters before capping his shutout by inducing a groundout to third base.
