• Cavossa knocked an opposite-field solo home run in the top of the first inning before the Hawks scored a pair of unearned runs in the third.
• Senior Max Kolifrath (Millbury, Mass./Millbury) walked and scored the tying run on a fourth-inning miscue.

THE ACTION

• Rose singled home Bourdeau with two down in the bottom of the third inning, but Cavossa unloaded the bases with a two-out triple to give Saint Michael's a 3-1 lead in the fourth.
• McCarron's two-out, two-run single capped a three-run fifth, but Cavossa's two-out, two-run home run to straightaway center field put the visitors up 5-4 in the sixth.
• With one out in the bottom half, Gonzalez doubled home a pair, putting the Hawks ahead for good.
• The Purple Knights put a pair on scoring position with one down in a scoreless seventh, and Bryant came out of the bullpen during the eighth inning and retired all five batters he faced.
