COLCHESTER, Vt. - In a meeting between Northeast-10 Conference programs receiving national votes, the Saint Michael's College men's lacrosse team lost to Assumption University, 9-5, on Saturday evening on Duffy Field. Both squads received votes this week from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).

- Simonson, who needs seven goals to tie Pete Donnally's '13 career school record (127), also has 23 assists this season, tying for eighth in program annals, within six of Mike Simonelli's '96 30-year-old mark.
- Regan was one save short of matching his career high.
THE ACTION
- Off of the opening faceoff, Burke forced a turnover and scored just 15 seconds into the game, sparking his team to a 3-0 lead. Cahill tallied at 10:14 of the first period before Reyes scored off of Simonson's feed at 6:53.
- Bogar put his team on the board with 3:12 left for Assumption's lone first-quarter strike, but the visitors netted the only three goals in the second frame to take a 4-3 lead into halftime. Sophomore Brian Shortt's goal at 7:08 put the Greyhounds ahead.
- Bogar scored once and handed out two assists in helping the visitors score the first five goals of the second half, capping a 9-0 run that he started in the first stanza.
- Murphy scored off of a Simonson pass at 6:43 of the fourth before Simonson found the net himself with 1:20 left. Wilson won the ensuing faceoff before having a shot saved, and the hosts never again possessed.
