Jenna Devens Earns Third Career NFCA All-East Region Laurel, Named to First Team

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College softball senior Jenna Devens (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-East Region first team on Thursday, landing her third career all-region accolade, being honored at a different position each year.

Devens, who was among eight Northeast-10 Conference student-athletes to land one of 27 NFCA All-East Region spots, was the first base representative on the first team. She landed on the second team as a first-year in the designated player/utility non-pitcher category and again last year at second base. Devens owns three of her program's five all-region accolades, as Meggan Roberge '07 was named 2007 Daktronics Northeast Region Pitcher of the Year and to the all-region first team, and Fallon Tierney '19 nabbed an NFCA All-East Region second team nod in 2017.

Devens stands second in the NCAA Division II East Region in slugging percentage (.776), third in on-base percentage (.512) and fourth in batting average (.439), good for 27th, 36th and 32nd, respectively, among all Division II players. She also cracked eight home runs, putting her fourth in the region in dingers per game. Devens leads the NE10 in batting, slugging, OBP and home runs while driving in a school-record 33 runs, four off the pace, and scoring 25. A two-time captain, Devens had hits in 30 of 38 games and added 10 doubles and 18 walks to only six strikeouts.

Devens was named the NE10 Player of the Year and to the NE10 All-Conference first team, posting her fourth career all-league accolade. Devens is the program's first four-time all-conference pick, and also the first to earn three career first team nods, placing on the first team at three different positions: designated player in 2022, second base in 2024 and first base in 2025. She was the third team first base pick in 2023.

Devens' batting average this spring was the highest by a Purple Knight since Kathy O'Neil '81 hit .481 in 1981. She will graduate holding career marks for hits (184), doubles (39), home runs (29), RBI (113) and walks (74), and she previously set season records for home runs (12) as a first-year and walks (28) as a junior. Devens' career batting average (.415), slugging percentage (.709) and OBP (.499) are all second in program history only to O'Neil, who played prior to the program's resurrection in 1990. Devens is 13th in NE10 history in career home runs.
