COLCHESTER, Vt. - Four Saint Michael's College men's tennis players qualified for Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete status for the 2024-25 school year, it was announced on Tuesday, while the Purple Knight squad drew an ITA All-Academic Team accolade.

December 2025 graduate
Sergio Barroso (Madrid, Spain/Colegio Montpellier), rising senior
Julius van den Broek (Bergschenhoek, The Netherlands/Wolfert Lyceum), and rising sophomores
Richard Lin (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) and
Jamie Macpherson (Durham, United Kingdom/Framwellgate School Durham) were all named ITA Scholar-Athletes, necessitating recording a minimum 3.5 grade-point average during the school year. They were among 29 men from the Northeast 10 Conference to land the honor, as 577 student-athletes from across NCAA Division II claimed recognition. Barroso landed his second career ITA laurel.

The Purple Knights were among four NE10 programs to garner ITA All-Academic Team honors. In all, 76 programs from Division II qualified by posting a 3.2 GPA or better for the most recent school year.

The Saint Michael's women also landed the team accolade, as the College was among 68 Division II institutions whose men and women both earned the honor for the 2024-25 school year.
David Moore recently completed his first school year as head coach of both squads at Saint Michael's.
