  • Smith kept it 1-0 in the 25th minute by diving to his right and denying a shot from first-year Luca Mansfield-Osbourne, whose bid was bothered by marking first-year back Liam Weldon (Essex, Vt./Shattuck-Saint Mary's School).
  • The Purple Knights nearly doubled their lead in the 65th minute, when Ahmed rung the right post and classmate Jack Andrews' (Beverly, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) follow-up opportunity was denied by a field player on the goal line.
  • D'Youville put no shots on frame in the second half, with its final chance an 87th-minute corner that was cleared out of danger.
