Clark's Last-Minute Marker Secures Men's Soccer's 2-2 Draw

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Sophomore Bennett Clark's (Calais, Vt./U-32) first collegiate tally with 57 seconds remaining helped the Saint Michael's College men's soccer team salvage a 2-2 tie with Fisher College on Wednesday at Duffy Field.

GAME FACTS
  • Schwalbe-Goodwin leads the Northeast 10 Conference with five assists, already the most by a Purple Knight since Josh Vlasich '15 netted a school-record 10 in 2012.
THE ACTION
  • The Purple Knights broke the stalemate in the 16th minute, as Schwalbe-Goodwin touched the ball for the right side of the box, where Riby-Williams finished into the lower left with his left foot.
  • Fisher tied the game early in the second half. Junior Leonardo Di Biase sent a through ball down the seam, where Blancuzzi, flanked by two defenders, slipped a shot inside the right post, beyond a diving Smith at 48:43.
  • Blancuzzi put the Falcons ahead at 75:25, completing a give-and-go with sophomore Giacomo Tomasina on the right side of the box.
  • Clark struck for the tying goal with 57 seconds remaining, banging home a rebound on a corner kick that was served by Schwalbe-Goodwin and touched in between by Kull.
