Scarlett Brookes' (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) brace sent the Purple Knights past Chestnut Hill College, 2-1, on Friday at the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Victory Field.

THE ACTION
- Brookes struck for her first goal in the 16th minute. Sophomore Julia Palmese's (Berlin, Conn./Berlin) long free kick off of a restart was knocked ahead by Kleinman before DelVecchio added a touch through two defenders that sprung Brookes toward goal, and she finished from the middle of the box.
- Only 45 seconds later, Brookes made it 2-0 at 16:33 when she headed home Gormley's cross from deep in the left corner. Sophomore Jules Peterson (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) keyed the sequence with a takeaway in the midfield.
- Dalton got a goal back in the 23rd minute, heading in senior Lauren Sullivan's long cross while unmarked at the left post.
- Sullivan later hit the crossbar with a tying bid in the 36th minute.
- Stratz denied all five Purple Knight shots sent her way in the second half, while Laizer made two saves, including stopping junior Chelsea Ritter in the 86th minute for the Griffins' final shot.
