THE ACTION
- The Purple Knights trailed 8-4 before five straight points from Floyd put his team in front, and Dumont came off the bench to score all eight of his points during a 3:34 stretch amid what became a 20-7 run. Littleton's three-pointer created a 24-15 lead by 8:23 of the opening half.
- Walton scored the final seven points of a tying 10-1 run, but Briscoe's three-pointer with 19 seconds left sent the hosts into the locker room with a 42-38 lead.
- Floyd's put-back at 17:59 of the second half had Saint Michael's ahead 46-39, but Adelphi later used an 18-6 run to swing a six-point deficit into a six-point advantage, at 63-57 on Burke's free throw at 6:48.
- With his team still down six points in the final minute, Floyd went 3-for-3 at the charity stripe after getting fouled shooting a three with 25 seconds to go, and he found Kenney for a triple at 10 seconds that cut the deficit to 75-73. On the ensuing inbounds pass, Floyd came up with a steal, but a teammate's tying mid-range jumper attempt was snared by Price with 2.5 seconds left.
- While Price was fouled on the play with the hosts over the limit, a technical foul was assessed to the Adelphi bench. Littleton hit two free throws to temporarily tie the game, but Price followed suit at the other end of the court. The Purple Knights' halfcourt heave at the buzzer was off the mark.
