COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College saw 282 student-athletes qualify for the Northeast 10 Conference Academic Honor Roll for the fall semester, including 36 that posted a 4.0 grade-point average last term.
Â
Saint Michael's ranked sixth among the league's 10 core institutions by placing 69.1% of its NE10 student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll, sixth by seeing 12.8% of its qualifiers post 4.0 GPAs this past fall, and ninth in total number of NE10 Academic Honor Roll honorees. Student-athletes that earn a 3.0 GPA in a given semester are eligible for the Academic Honor Roll. Nineteen of the Purple Knights' squads compete in the NE10.
Â
The Academic Honor Roll is broken by the conference into three categories: Academic Excellence for those with a 4.0 GPA, Academic Distinction for those between 3.50 and 3.99, and Academic Honors for student-athletes between 3.00 and 3.49. Beyond the 36 Purple Knights who earned Academic Excellence, 128 positioned themselves for Academic Distinction and another 118 claimed Academic Honors.
Â
Men's lacrosse had a College-high 33 qualifiers, while women's soccer (27), baseball (24), men's ice hockey (22), women's lacrosse (22) and men's soccer (20) all followed. Softball (16), women's swimming & diving (16), women's cross country (14), women's basketball (13), women's outdoor track (13), women's volleyball (13) and men's swimming & diving (12) also all had at least a dozen representatives.
