WORCESTER, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team lost to Assumption University, 66-54, on Saturday during Northeast 10 Conference play at Laska Gymnasium.

THE ACTION
  • Assumption led for all but 40 seconds, taking the lead on Curran's three-pointer 24 seconds in and going ahead for good on senior Teagan Kamm's lay-in at 6:30 of the first stanza.
  • Senior Molly Brophy's (Greenwich, N.Y./Greenwich Central School) lay-up at 3:04 had Saint Michael's within 10-8 before the Greyhounds responded with a 15-5 run that carried into the second period.
  • Montplaisir's hoop at 1:06 cut the deficit to 30-25, but Davis scored the final five points of the half to spark a 10-0 run that bridged halftime. The visitors never got closer than 10 points, at 40-30, during the final 20 minutes.
