COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team knocked off Southern New Hampshire University, 66-57, for the second time this season on Wednesday during Northeast 10 Conference play in the Ross Sports Center. The Purple Knights broke a three-way tie for sixth place in the NE10 and now stand alone in sixth.

- The teams played through three first-quarter lead swings, with Montplaisir's driving layup with her off left hand at the buzzer giving the Purple Knights a 17-16 edge.
- Junior Bella Franchi (Colonie, N.Y./Colonie Central) buried a pair of free throws at 6:20 of the second quarter to push the hosts' advantage to 23-16, but the Penmen finished off a 25-10 response when first-year Izzy Terzioski hit a free throw at 3:20 of the third quarter to make it 41-33.
- Montplaisir scored six points in a go-ahead 10-0 run late in the frame, and the hosts were up 45-44 at the buzzer.
- The teams swapped the lead six times in the first 3:28 of the final quarter, with Tyler's steal and fastbreak bucket at 6:32 putting Saint Michael's up for good (52-51). Senior Molly Brophy (Greenwich, N.Y./Greenwich Central School) and junior Amber Furch (Los Angeles, Calif./Brentwood School) combined for a similar play only seconds later, with Furch's steal leading to a Brophy breakaway lay-in at 6:13.
- The Purple Knights pushed their lead to six before Gordon hit a mid-range jumper at 47 seconds to cut the deficit to 61-57, but Talbot canned a pair of free throws at 37.5 ticks and the Penmen went scoreless on four shots on their next possession. Montplaisir hit three freebies in the closing 14 seconds.
