THE ACTION

  • First-year Addison Andre floated a shot home from the slot at 14:08 before Hertl again denied a golden opportunity for the Purple Knights, stuffing first-year Kali Boychuk (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Windsor Southwest Wildcats) after the rookie's patient toe drag got her to the doorstep at 15:17. That was the first of five Saint Michael's attempts in a matter of 19 seconds, four of which reached the net and were saved.
  • Dean knocked in another rebound 24 seconds into the second period before first-year Sophia Prentice scored from the right circle at 13:30. Korneta and Dean completed the scoring in the third frame.
