Baseball Falls at Franklin Pierce During NE10 Play

RINDGE, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team opened a four-game season series with Franklin Pierce University by losing a 14-3 decision in eight innings on Tuesday during Northeast 10 Conference play at Dr. Pappas Field.

THE ACTION
  • Starr's RBI single gave the Ravens a first-inning lead before Ayala singled home Kolifrath in the top of the second and Kinsella slugged a two-run homer to right center. The visitors led 3-1.
  • Rodriguez capped a three-run third with a two-run home run, and he swatted another two-run shot amid a five-run fourth inning.
  • Boyd's grand slam in the eighth inning invoked the 10-run mercy rule.
