Paul Mannke (Stoneham, Mass./Stoneham) was named a USA Lacrosse All-America honorable mention on Tuesday. Mannke becomes the sixth All-America selection in program history, and the first defender since
Will Moriarty '20 in 2020.

Mannke has turned in career highs in ground balls (37) and caused turnovers (29), tying for fifth in program history in the latter category. With one more caused turnover, he would have the most by a Purple Knight since Moriarty's school-record 45 in 2019. Mannke has scooped at least three ground balls in nine contests while causing at least one turnover in 12 games. He is tied for 28th in NCAA Division II in caused turnovers per game.

Mannke turned in some of his best games against nationally-ranked foes, totaling four ground balls and three caused turnovers at No. 1 Adelphi University on March 15, three ground balls and two caused turnovers versus No. 6 Pace University on March 28, four ground balls and three caused turnovers at No. 2 Saint Anselm College on April 1, and three ground balls and four caused turnovers at No. 19 Assumption University on April 4. Mannke reached a career high with five forced giveaways at American International College on April 11.

At 10-5, the 19th-ranked Purple Knights head into the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championship at No. 11 Molloy University on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Saint Michael's is amid its NCAA Championship debut and downed No. 3 Saint Anselm, 9-8, in the first round on Sunday.
