COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's basketball legend
Amy Molina '93 was chosen for induction into the Northeast 10 Conference Hall of Fame, the league announced on Thursday. The Class of 2026 was composed of seven individuals and one team, each of which will be recognized on their campuses during the coming school year. Details regarding Molina's celebration will be finalized soon.
Â
Molina is the third Saint Michael's representative to join the NE10 Hall of Fame, alongside long-time director of athletics
Ed Markey '51 (2007) and men's basketball star
Todd Roberts '01 (2022).
Â
Molina remains one of the College's women's basketball greats, still holding the school's career scoring record (1,933) while twice drawing Kodak All-America attention, as an honorable mention in 1992 and as her program's only first team pick, in 1993. Molina, whose No. 34 jersey hangs from the Ross Sports Center rafters as one of two retired women's basketball numbers, also claims school marks for games (116), field goals (735), free throws (443), games scoring in double figures (103), 25-point contests (18), and rookie scoring (430). The versatile 5-foot-9 guard remains second in scoring average (16.7) and fifth in field goal shooting (48.5%), rebounds (850) and steals (262) while sitting just outside the top 10 in assists (304) and free throw percentage (75.3%).
Â
Molina helped the team to 67 wins during her career, an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament runner-up finish her rookie year, two ECAC semifinal appearances, and a pair of NE10 Championship semifinal outings. She landed three NE10 All-Conference accolades, capping her career by being named NE10 Player of the Year and ECAC Player of the Year as a senior. Molina added a pair of prestigious institutional accolades that year, winning the Robert F. Keleher '15 Award as the graduating class's top female scholar-athlete and the Victor V. LeMieux '35 Award for loyalty and leadership.
Â
Inducted into the Saint Michael's Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999 and New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003, Molina spent seven additional seasons with the program as an assistant coach until the 2000-01 season. She was named to the NE10 25th Anniversary Women's Basketball Team during the 2005-06 season.
