COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's soccer team earned a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 15th time in 20 seasons last week. The Purple Knights were one of six Northeast 10 Conference squads to qualify.
 
By posting a 3.51 cumulative grade-point average for the 2025-26 school year, Saint Michael's met the minimum 3.0 GPA necessary to qualify for the honor. The Purple and Gold was one of 451 NCAA Division II teams recognized.
 
The team's GPA was buoyed by 30 Purple Knights landing on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll in at least one semester, necessitating their carrying a 3.0 term GPA. Saint Michael's heads into its 14th season with head coach Wendy Elles at the helm in 2026, returning 27 players from a 2025 squad that finished 16-3-1 during a record-breaking campaign.
