THE ACTION

• AIC held a 7-2 lead in shots during a scoreless first half, when Torres made a pair of saves. First-year Carter Robbins (Warwick, R.I./Mount Saint Charles Academy) registered the Purple Knights' lone bid on frame, which Martinez rejected in the 42nd minute.
• The teams combined for 19 second-half attempts, with only the Yellow Jackets finding the goal. Cabrera scored in the 76th minute off of first-year Sandro Alvarez Jimenez's cross after a corner kick entry.
• Saint Michael's was denied a pair of opportunities in the 86th minute, as Martinez kicked away Johnluca Frenzilli's (North Kingstown, R.I./Mount Saint Charles Academy) cross before covering sophomore Preston Blay's (Otsego, Minn./Rogers) long feed.
