• First-year Annie Forker put Assumption ahead 36 seconds into the game, pushing in a rebound.
• The Purple Knights broke even with 3:48 gone after junior Alicia McDonald (Kelowna, British Columbia/Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna) was stopped but Jerylo cashed in on the rebound at the left post. First-year Grace Bendickson (Lakeville, Minn./Benilde-Saint Margaret's School) set up the sequence, helping keep the zone by pinning the puck along the boards while locked up with a Greyhound.
• First-year Haven Mills made it 2-1 in the hosts' favor at 16:35, netting another rebound marker.
• First-year Isabella Zolezzi slipped a shot in from the left circle 4:04 into the second frame as the first of three goals in 5:46. Classmate Megan Tremblay scored on a power play at 6:44, one-timing senior Alexa Hanrahan's post-to-post pass, before Whitesell buried a similar tally at 9:50 from first-year Sydney Burnevik's feed.
• Saint Michael's cut the deficit to 5-2 with 14:24 gone. First-year Maddy Martin (Toledo, Ohio/Belle Tire 19U AAA) swept a loose puck out of the slot to set up what became 3-on-1 breakout opportunity, led by classmate Jen Birolini (Pembroke, Mass./Tabor Academy). Birolini's pass from the boards into the slot found Jarvis, who went glove side from out front.
• Joiner put home another rebound strike at 2:04 of the third period for that stanza's lone scoring.
