RINDGE, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College women's volleyball team lost to Franklin Pierce University, 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-16), on Friday evening in the FPU Fieldhouse. The Northeast 10 Conference foes met in non-league play.

THE ACTION
- The teams played through 12 ties and six lead changes in the opening set, when neither team led by more than two points until Tower dropped back-to-back aces to key a 5-0 run that gave the visitors an 18-14 edge. Saint Michael's countered Franklin Pierce's tying 5-1 run with an Almeida kill and Almeida and LaFrenier dual block and still led 23-21 following a service error, but the hosts scored the final four points.
- The Ravens tallied the first six points in the second set before using an 8-1 to create breathing room after Crowley's ace had brought the Purple Knights within 11-9.
- The hosts were up 3-0 in set No. 3 and used a mid-set 9-1 run to break open a 6-5 contest.
