Men's Tennis Concludes NE10 Slate with Loss at Stonehill

EASTON, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College men's tennis team lost its final Northeast-10 Conference match of the season at Stonehill College, 9-0, on Saturday at the Charles Watts Tennis Courts. The Purple Knights are winless through 10 outings, including nine in league play, while the Skyhawks are 9-6 and 3-3.

During doubles play, first-years Colby Antonacci (Bolton Valley, Vt./Mount Mansfield Union/Saint Anselm) and Cam Maher (Exeter, N.H./Exeter) lost only 8-5 at No. 3 against a Stonehill duo partially comprised of a regular in the second flight. The Purple Knights' other two tandems both suffered 8-2 losses, with junior Dan Foley (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) and sophomore Matt Mosher (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) siding at No. 1 and senior Alex Mohbat (Beirut, Lebanon/Sagesse) and junior Jake Remillard (Saint Albans, Vt./BFA-Saint Albans) teaming in the second position.

Maher lost 6-3 during the second set of a straight-set loss at No. 6 singles, and Mosher and Antonacci claimed two games apiece in the first and third positions, respectively. Mosher trailed 5-2 in his opening set before retiring.

The Purple Knights end their regular season by opposing Emerson College tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Saint John's Prep in Danvers, Mass.
