THE ACTION

• Dunn did not allow a Purple Knight base runner until Kroeger walked with two down in the fourth, and no Saint Michael's player picked up a hit until Oetterer's single up the middle with one out in the fifth.
• Saint Anselm went ahead 2-0 on consecutive RBI singles from Larranaga and Parent in the first inning.
• Three more Hawks scored in the second frame without the aid of a hit.
• Five runs came around for the hosts in the third, all with two down and all unearned.
• The teams each scored four runs in the latter third of the game, with the Purple Knights plating all of their runs in the eighth inning. Sophomore Julien Giroux-Harvey (Montreal, Québec/Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf) scored on a wild pitch, Stampler ripped a two-run double and Kroeger poked an RBI single.
