NORTHBORO, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team closed out a three-game season series against regionally-ranked Merrimack College by losing the rubber game, 6-0, on Monday at the New England Baseball Complex during Northeast-10 Conference play. The teams split Friday's twinbill at the same location. The Warriors are second in the latest New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) poll and eighth in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region rankings.

• Both teams left a runner on in a scoreless first inning, as Allen singled with two down in the top of the inning before Joyce doubled with two out in the home half.
• Azpeitia singled with one out in the third, but the Warriors spun a 6-4-3 double play to end the frame.
• McDowell left runners at the corners in the bottom half by inducing a line drive to Stampler in center field for the final out.
• Ronai and sophomore Thomas Crowley began the fourth with singles before moving 90 feet on a wild pitch, allowing Golankiewicz's fly ball to Giroux-Harvey in left field for the second out to plate Ronai with the go-ahead run.
• Three more runs came home with one down in the fifth, as Joyce's RBI single to center was followed by a Ronai two-run double to left.
• With his team down 4-0, Stampler singled with two out in the sixth but was erased on a fielder's choice.
• McDowell started an inning-ending 1-6-3 double play to escape a two-on, one-out jam in the sixth.
• Golankiewicz's two-run homer in the eighth inning padded the Merrimack lead.
