COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's tennis went five wins above .500 for the first time in more than 12 years while downing Northern Vermont University-Lyndon, 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon in the Tarrant Recreation Center. Six Purple Knights won twice apiece during the match.

THE ACTION

- Antonacci and Tonini sided for the first time, with Antonacci making his season doubles debut, while claiming an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
- Llona and Mosher joined for the first time in their respective careers en route to an 8-0 triumph at No. 3, with Llona seeing his first doubles action of the season as Mosher's fifth different partner of the year, and 13th of his career.
- In the top spot, Boucher and Scott improved to 7-3 this season by winning the final five games to turn a tight 3-2 match into an 8-2 victory.
- Antonacci, Mosher and Tonini kicked off singles play with consecutive 6-0, 6-0 victories from the No. 6, 4 and 3 positions, respectively, with Mosher's win clinching his team the match triumph.
- Scott claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 to improve to 7-3 this season before Boucher ended the match by shutting out his foe at No. 2, pushing his record to 7-2. Both tied idle first-year Josh Weiss (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) for first on the team in singles victories.
- In between, Llona nabbed a 6-0, 6-0 win in the fifth spot.
