GAME FACTS
- White's 60 stops tied her for the most by a New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) netminder this year, and trailed only the 65 saves Rochester Institute of Technology's Taylor Liotta made on Nov. 13.
- White is the fourth Purple Knight with 60 saves in a single game, joining Kristen Salierno '09, who made 86 on Feb. 18, 2006; Marcy Ring '05, who had a pair of 62-stop outings in January 2004 and a 61-save performance on Nov. 23, 2002; and Annice Mason '06, who registered 60 saves on Dec. 12, 2004.
THE ACTION
- In an otherwise flawless opening period, when White made 20 saves, Hamilton scored at 8:26 when Loh put home a rebound at the left side of the net during a power play.
- First-year Grace Canterbury (Eagle River, Alaska/Shattuck-Saint Mary's School) and sophomore defender Emma Kelly (Dorchester, Mass./Boston Latin School) both had tying attempts denied by Venne during the frame, including as Kelly was stopped in the final minute.
- First-year Lisa Ito-Bagshaw made it 2-0 at 6:45 of the second period on a shot from the left circle. Loh scored again just 1:26 later, wristing home a shot after making a nice move in the right circle. Loh completed her hat trick at 11:24, one-timing junior Hyla Mosher's cross-ice pass from the left circle.
- Holden tallied at 17:07, putting in a rebound after White deflected an initial shot off the post, and again at 3:29 of the third period, poking in a rebound to finish an odd-woman rush.
- Junior Maddie Hong potted a power-play marker with 17:04 gone, picking the corner on White's blocker side from the slot.
