OCEANSIDE, N.Y. - Three Saint Michael's College men's tennis players picked up wins on Saturday during a 6-1 loss to regionally-ranked Adelphi University at Point Set Racquet Club during Northeast-10 Conference play. The Panthers were ranked ninth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Region poll.

THE ACTION
- Boucher and Weiss won in doubles for the second straight match, taking a 6-3 decision in the top spot. However, Adelphi captured the doubles point by virtue of Scott and sophomore Tyler Whitney (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) losing a 6-3 decision at No. 2 after sophomores Jack Gunning (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) and Luke Ramsay (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) fell in the third spot.
- Scott won his second straight singles match, and third in five tries, thanks to rallying for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 triumph at No. 3.
- Weiss and Boucher both rallied to force third sets during losses. Weiss dropped a 6-1, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4 contest at No. 1, while Boucher played to a 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 decision in the second spot.
- Whitney won a season-high five games for the second straight match, losing a 6-1, 6-4 contest at No. 4.
- Gunning claimed his first game of the season at No. 6, and Ramsay won a game in the fifth spot for the second straight match.
