THE ACTION
- Meyers broke the deadlock just 27 into the game, scoring from just inside the blue line.
- White finished with 16 saves in the first period, as the Purple Knights had a trio of good opportunities to knot the game. First-year Angelina Ruiz (Independence, Minn./Gentry Academy) was stopped on a breakaway with 11 minutes gone before sophomore Mikaela Langbacka's (Lorton, Va./Washington Pride) slapper from the slot hit Kelley in the mask at 15:29. Sophomore Mary Leys' (Newport, R.I./Saint George's School) one-timer out front off of Hoops' feed was denied by Kelley's glove save with 18:16 gone.
- Late in the frame, Turner made it 2-0, stuffing in a shot at the left post with one minute remaining.
- She scored again 2:18 into the second frame, beating her defender to get in alone on White before deking to her backhand. Just 44 seconds later, Sullivan batted Blair's crossing pass out of the air and past the netminder.
- Canterbury cut into the Saint Anselm lead at 4:41, taking a failed clear attempt in front of Kelley and scoring from in close. That goal capped a stretch of three goals in just 2:23.
- Turner completed her hat trick at 9:03 of the period by scoring out front, and Blair one-timed home Sullivan's pass from the left circle 1:37 into the third.
