GAME FACTS

- Each of White's past three game save totals have been among the top 10 in program history, as she turned in 60 at Hamilton College on Dec. 12 and 58 on Friday. Two of the seven 60-save games in school annals now belong to her.
- The Purple and Gold also blocked 22 shots to aid the defensive effort while being edged 27-25 on faceoffs.
- The Purple Knights are 2-3-1 in their last six games.
- Saint Michael's moved to 0-1-2 in its past three meetings with Saint Anselm.
THE ACTION
- While White held Saint Anselm off the scoreboard until the third period, Saint Michael's had a pair of good looks in the opening frame, with junior Ella Saracco (Melrose, Mass./Middlesex Islanders) stopped on a breakaway at 12:40 before Hoops made a nice move in the slot before Lalande came through with a blocker save at 17:07.
- Ruiz put the Purple Knights on the board at 2:58 of the second period, finishing an odd-woman chance thanks to a pass from Langbacka.
- Among White's 30 saves during the middle frame were a denial of first-year Tyra Turner's redirection out front after 15 seconds, making a right toe stop of senior Erin Meyers' slap shot from the point at 6:15, stopping sophomore Celesta Paolucci's second chance at 8:08 after junior Devin Porazinski rung the post, turning away Golini with her blocker on a shorthanded breakaway at 9:40, and recording another blocker save at 18:28, this time on junior Kenadie Cooper's bid from low in the left circle. White also keyed the Purple Knights killing 1:41 of a Saint Anselm 5-on-3 power play early in the stanza with five stops.
- Sophomore Mary Leys (Newport, R.I./Saint George's School) nearly made it 2-0 at 2:11 of the third period, but Lalande posted a blocker stop, and Golini knotted the game 1:39 later on a second effort out front.
- White denied first-year Audrey Jackson twice in the third period, first with her shoulder from the low right circle at 8:40 before the puck hit the post, and then on a mini-break at 16:25, forcing White to stack her pads.
- Saint Anselm went on a power play just 12 seconds later, and Hoops had a chance to find the go-ahead tally with a shorthanded breakaway, picking up the puck at center ice, but Lalande made the save with 17:04 gone. White notched five stops during the power play, and the teams headed to 3-on-3 overtime.
- In a frenzied five minutes that saw Saint Anselm hold a 5-4 edge in shots on goal, White made another toe stop 41 seconds in on sophomore Savannah Popick before Lalande stopped Harrison's wraparound bid at 1:23 with her pad.
- White made consecutive saves on Golini's point-blank bids at 2:45 before stopping Meyers' breakaway chance with 20 seconds left with her blocker to secure the deadlock.
