THE ACTION

• The Purple Knights utilized 11 saves by White and three blocks by Purple Knight skaters, including two by Harrison, to nearly blank the Pioneers in the opening period, yielding the only goal at 18:31, with Ocel tallying.
• White made a trio of stops to help kill off a Sacred Heart power play early in the second stanza.
• Sophomore Emma Kelly (Dorchester, Mass./Boston Latin School) had a pair of shots saved by Sanchez during 4-on-4 play around the 14-minute mark, and Saracco was denied at 15:47.
• After first-year Grace Canterbury (Eagle River, Alaska/Shattuck-Saint Mary's School) had a shot saved with 18:04 gone, the hosts quickly countered at the other end, as Klein pushed the lead to 2-0 at 18:13.
• Spiering made it 3-0 at 10:55 of the third frame, and O'Connell tallied 4:03 later immediately after White turned away senior Kelly Solak's shot. Taleghani scored an insurance goal at 18:16.
