Box Score 2 FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team was swept in a pair of seven-innings contests on Tuesday by Bethel (Minn.) University, 17-4 and 13-1, during the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic at Pigott Stadium. The teams squared off for the first time, and play again on Thursday.

THE ACTION
- Bethel grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on junior Noah Wenberg's sacrifice fly.
- The Purple Knights pushed ahead on Luciano's two-run single in the third before leading 4-1 in the fourth on Moynihan's one-out, two-run single.
- Koehn walked with the bases loaded in the home half before Carlsen came around on a wild pitch, and Bethel went ahead and pulled away thanks to eight runs in the fifth and six more in the sixth.
- Koehn's three-run double and Brandt's pair of run-scoring hits keyed the fifth-inning outburst, while first-year Andrew Cardenas had a two-out, two-run, pinch-hit double in the sixth.

- Sophomore Jordan Krupke's RBI groundout gave visiting Bethel the lead in the second, and the Royals tacked on 11 more runs over the next three frames.
