SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader against Le Moyne College, 15-2 and 16-2, on Saturday at the Onondaga Community College Baseball Complex. The Dolphins received votes toward this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region poll. The Northeast-10 Conference foes played a pair of non-league games.

• Le Moyne scored six two-out runs on five first-inning hits, keyed by Smith's three-run double. First-year Benji Ries added a two-run base hit.
• Santos' one-out knock plated Moynihan in the fourth.
• Senior Ty Syta hit a solo home run during a three-run bottom half, but Moynihan's two-out RBI double scored his team's second run.
• Carroll hit a two-out, two-run double in the fifth before the Dolphins added one run in the sixth and three in the eighth.

THE ACTION

• Syta's two-run homer keyed a four-run opening frame.
• Cianciolo doubled and Sevigny walked with one down in the second, but both were stranded.
• Brush's two-out, two-run single capped a three-run third, first-year Wyatt Patchett had a two-run double amid a three-run fifth, and Syta's three-run triple finished off a six-run sixth.
• The Purple Knights got two runs back in the seventh, as Sevigny led off with a walk, Rogers and Lanthier singled, and Moynihan sent a two-run single up the middle with two out.
