THE ACTION
- Bentley scored once in the first inning on junior Tim Zupkus' groundout, but third baseman Garcia saved a second run on the play by diving to his left to turn a hit into an out.
- Lanthier beat a bunt for a single in the third, stole second and scored on Moynihan's single down the line.
- With two on and two out in the Falcon fifth, Garcia ranged into foul territory before fighting the sun and wind to pull in a pop fly for the final out.
- Saint Michael's stranded a pair in the fourth, while seven Falcons reached between the fourth and sixth innings, but the visitors scored only when Lindsay drilled a go-ahead solo home run leading off the fifth.
- With a runner at third and one out in the sixth, sophomore second baseman Brady Clark (Springfield, Vt./Springfield) dove to his left with the infield in to snare a hard grounder and convert the out while holding the runner at third.
- Bentley added to its lead with a pair of runs in the seventh, on junior Steve Rizzuto's sac fly and senior Liam Sears' two-out RBI double.
- Garcia started the home half with a single before Lanthier doubled him to third. With Morganelli on from the bullpen, Santosuosso drove a sac fly before Moynihan knocked an RBI single to right center, bringing Saint Michael's within 4-3 with one down. One out later, Perron walked and Cianciolo legged out an infield single, loading the bases for sophomore Matt Sevigny (Rocky Hill, Conn./Rocky Hill). On the first pitch, Sevigny drilled a shot ticketed for left field, but junior third baseman Cory Bright dove to his left to snare the hot shot and rob the Purple Knights of the tying and potential winning runs, and hand the visitors the win.

THE ACTION
- Bentley scored six first-inning runs, keyed by Zupkus' two-run single and Halloran's two-out, two-run double, and Zupkus added a two-run single in the third. The Falcons scored twice more in the fourth to push the lead to 12-0.
- Saint Michael's batted around in the fourth, plating five runs on six hits. Moynihan ripped an RBI triple, Perron and Garcia came through with RBI singles, and Lanthier dropped a two-out, two-run single into right center.
- Bentley added five unearned runs in the sixth and six runs in the seventh.
- Sevigny's RBI groundout scored the Purple Knights' final run in the home half of the seventh.
