THE ACTION
- First-year Filly Santos (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/Park West) scored the game's first run on a fourth-inning wild pitch before senior Sebastian Oetterer's (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips) two-out double plated sophomore Matt Sevigny (Rocky Hill, Conn./Rocky Hill), who had walked and stolen second base.
- Marshall's RBI single tied the game in the fifth before he took off to steal second and, with a runner on third, the throw went through, but the return throw from junior second baseman Ulysses Luciano (Bronx, N.Y./Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy) to Oetterer at the plate caught a Skyhawk trying to swipe home for the final out.
- With one out in the seventh inning, Lanthier singled, stole second and moved to third on an error. Moynihan followed by beating out a dribbler in front of the plate, and an ensuing error put him on second, as Lanthier scored the eventual winning run. First-year Evan Balian (Lynnfield, Mass./Lynnfield) and senior Brady Perron (Barton, Vt./Lake Region Union) both came through with two-out RBI singles to pad the lead.
- After Muzzy had retired the side 1-2-3 in the sixth and fanned the first batter in the seventh, the next three Skyhawks singled, with the second a seeing-eye roller and the third a nubber just over the mound into no-man's land. With the potential winning run at the plate in Stonehill's cleanup hitter, Muzzy fielded a comebacker to begin a game-ending 1-4-3 double play.

THE ACTION
- Gaspar's sac fly gave Stonehill a first-inning lead before Sevigny's two-out RBI double forced a second-inning tie.
- Lidsky and first-year Sam Kidder both had RBI singles in a three-run third, but Sevigny provided a sac fly the following frame before the Purple Knights scored three runs in the sixth to take a 5-4 lead. Oetterer and Lanthier knocked back-to-back two-out RBI singles to push the visitors in front.
- Stonehill countered with three runs in the home half. Gaspar had an RBI knock, but left fielder Sevigny helped prevent further damage by relaying to shortstop Moynihan, who cut down a second run trying to score.
- Saint Michael's went back in front, 8-7, by plating three runs on five hits in the eighth, when Moynihan dumped an RBI double into right and Balian and Oetterer added RBI singles.
- Marshall's RBI single again tied the game in the home half, but Fane-Cushing averted further damage by retiring the final three Skyhawks with runners at first and second.
- The Purple Knights scored four unearned runs in the ninth to take the lead for good, aided by Oetterer's go-ahead sac fly, Luciano's RBI double, two wild pitches, two passed balls and an error.
- Down 12-8, Stonehill made it interesting in bottom of the final frame, scoring one run on Lidsky's groundout and another on a two-out error, bringing the potential winning run to the plate. However, Fane-Cushing fanned that batter looking to cap the sweep.
