THE ACTION
- DeLong gave Sacred Heart the lead just 5:05 into the game, roofing a shot to Mudrak's glove side from out front.
- Zapata found the equalizer only 2:07 later, occupying the slot to tip in Ruiz's feed from the left circle.
- The Purple Knights went ahead at 14:05 of the second period when McGillis sent a pass from the left point that Fisher tipped home from the low left circle.
- The visitors extended their lead to 3-1 1:01 into the third frame when Ruiz crashed the right post and one-timed Gerebi's backhanded pass from behind the net.
- Sacred Heart got one back 3:41 later when Antonakis snapped a shot inside the right post from the right circle.
- Guidi drew the Pioneers even at 15:53, as Keenan's initial shot from the right circle hit Mudrak and flipped into the air before landing in the crease. Amid a pile of bodies trying to cover the puck, Guidi tallied.
- Mudrak ensured overtime would occur by stuffing senior Sophie Lupone's wraparound attempt with her pad with 90 seconds to go.
- Antonakis took the only shot in the extra session, picking up the puck along the boards at center ice, racing past two Purple Knights before cutting through the left circle and going to her background out front to beat Mudrak 50 seconds into the 3-on-3 action.
